The next projection on the watch tower on the Old town square will take place on March 5th from 19.00 to 22.00 every half hour.

Projection mapping, or projection on buildings is more and more popular artistic branch, that is getting greater audience all over the world.

The Old Town astronomical clock is one of the most well known Prague sightseeing. On October 9th, 2010, it celebrated its 600th anniversary. On the occasion of this important jubilee, we have created visual screening (video mapping) that was projected right on the southern part of the Old Town Hall building. Each part of the screening described the most important chapters from the clock history.

Computer animation introduced building of the clock from the first plans and Peter Parler´s stone-cutting work to the fixing of Josef Manes´s calendar board. The audience also got a unique opportunity to look inside the clock itself. The screening reminded us of dramatic historic events – Hussite wars, the execution of Czech lords and its damage at the end of WWII. You can see the video from this event on our webpage.
